Snowflake hat

Here is a basic snowflake pattern. I used variegated yarn on the snow flakes which made the stitches hard to count.

Pink stripe hat

I got this pattern from Ravelry link. I followed the adult pattern, but I should have followed the teen size. Even after washing, it didn't shrink down enough.

Snowflake Hat

Snowflake patterns are not hard to find. I customized this pattern by using multi colored yarn on the snowflake, and adding a colored stripe to end half way through the snowflake. If I redid this pattern I would not use yarn colors so close together because a bit a detail was lost in the ble.nd.

Owl mittens

Finger-less mittens fits ages 2-4. Free pattern download. I did not use the magic loop method, as I am not comfortable with it. I used four sock knitting needles. Be mindful of keeping the stitches tight so you don't have laddering where you change needles.

Splatoon Hat

This year Dave wanted a hat, similar in style to the characters playing his favorite video game, Splatoon! I think I nailed it.

Scrubbies

Material:
'K' hook
1 yard nylon netting

Pattern:
Cut Nylon Netting into 2" wide strips. Knot ends together to make one long continuous strip.

Rnd 1 (right side): Ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 3(counts as dc), 11 dc in ring; join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (counts as hdc), hdc in same st as joining, 2 hdc in each st around; join with sl st in 2nd ch of beg ch-2. Fasten off.

Other Side: Rep Rnds 1-2 but do not fasten off.
Joining Circles: With wrong sides of each circle facing each other and working through both  thicknesses at the same time, sl st in each st around. Fasten off and weave in ends.

This is Dave's new hat. I just finished it. I like how soft this hat is, but I can't help but see tiny seals instead of waves on the boarder.

Rainbow Stripe Hat

Free knitting pattern. This hat was knit with sparkle (sequin embedded) grey yarn and striped sock yarn in size 14".

Baby trapper hat

Free Pattern. This is size 6 month.  The brim is permanently secured in the up position.
