Pine Car Derby

I cut these for my co-workers little girls. They are in Girl Scouts, and I wanted to help. The girls painted them and applied stickers. The sedan even won first place!!

Chicken and fried rice

Fried Rice
3 cups cooked rice
2 Tbs butter
1 small shallot, chopped
1 cup frozen peas and carrots, thawed
2-3 Tablespoons soy sauce (more or less to taste)
2 eggs, lightly beaten

Preheat a large skillet to medium heat. Place butter in the bottom. Add onion and peas and carrots and fry until tender. Slide the onion, peas and carrots to the side, and pour the eggs in. soft scramble eggs. Add the rice to the veggie and egg mixture. Pour the soy sauce on top. Stir and fry the rice and veggie mixture until heated through and combined.

Hotel Room

We charged these people an extra $200 for destroying our hotel room.  There was confetti everywhere, they broke a cupboard, there was a red sticky substance on every surface including the carpet (later discovered it was Pixi Stix powder), and they used the sheets as napkins.

1 Lb 90% lean or better hamburger
1 Lb pork or veal
1/2 sleeve Saltines
3 cloves garlic
one half of 1 medium onion, minced
1 egg
up to 3/4 C. milk

Sauce
the other half of the onion
olive oil
mushrooms
crushed tomatoes
basil
more garlic
can of spaghetti sauce
